Nebraska 30--Virginia Tech 35. Well at least they tried, just not hard enough. Thank goodness for Colby Glenn on defense. Maybe, just maybe, the Huskers can win 3 more. So how did Dean spend Saturday afternoon? He came so-o very close to deleting Dean's Tales out of the computer. I pulled up my credit card account and found instead of the $11.99 permonth (which just changed from $9.99), I was charged $46.99. An increase of $35.00. Instantly I figured that was an extra charge for my blog and thought if that is the case, it isn't worth it. I decided instead to dig a little deeper and pulled up my account at AOL and found various daily charges from 5 cents to $4.82 which I again assumed was a daily charge for Dean's Tales. I added them all up, and sure enough it totaled $35.00. I then got online with Tech Support from AOL to see how they arrived at those amounts. The Tech said I shouldn't be charged for a Blog. After some digging they determined when they changed to the $11.99 fee I was put on the wrong "dial-up" plan and after changing to the correct plan, they would refund the $35.00. So close to a "wipe-out", but saved by something telling me that it wasn't right as I saw nothing about a charge when I set up the Blog. Otherwise, nothing exciting today.

I'm glad you are keeping track of the "Go Big Red" team. I wish i could get a few of the games out here.
ReplyDeleteIt sure pays to watch those billing statements closely doesn't it! I have had some of the same experiences. The cable company which I witched over to their all in one package a couple of months ago is this month giving me a problem as well. Diligently, I was told my fee per month would not change ever. Yesterday I get a statement going from 113. monthly to 153.02. Tomorrow being Monday, must call and plug it out with someone. Also, the American Express statement came and there is two charges for 99.89. I never use the Am. Exp. card except to travel with....so the balance should be "0". Another morning spent plugging it out with them. What's one to do?
Enough mumble jumble, so will talk with you again soon. Much Love, Liz
Hi Grandpa!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you didn't delete Dean's Tales! I read it as much as I can! It's nice to be able to keep up with you two!
I've just been working hard at school. My classes are all really interesting but a lot of work so I've been putting a lot of time into studying. It gets old sometimes but I like the subjects and sometimes my friends and I will go to a coffee shop and study together!
I hope your day is going well today!
Love, Katy
