FRIDAY 2/20/09

Lorraine woke up at midnight with the leg spasams and all the moaning and groaning with "please help me". I gave her 2 baclefen pills and rubbed her feet for about 20 minutes. Then I put the ice bag on her feet. After about another 10 minutes, the pills took effect and she went to sleep. Lori and Aurelia came in at 10 to get her up. She just wouldn't wake up. I called the Doc and asked if there was any chance of getting her baclofen pump filled today. They said to bring her in at 1:30. The Aides came back in at 11:30 and tried to wake her. We decided to go ahead and get her up and maybe washing her face, etc would wake her up. They put her clothes on and her makeup while she slept in her chair. Lori went with me to the doc and she slept all the way and through the whole procedure. Poking the needle in her stomach didn't even wake her. When we got back to Bickford, she woke up long enough to eat her breakfast grapefruit and a sandwich and back to sleep. She slept until 6 and I noticed her legs jumping and she woke up with a repeat of last night. I gave her 2 more baclofen. After about a half hour of rubbing ,etc. she said she wnated to go to bed. The legs quited down and she went to bed at 6:30. Bob and Illis Burr our good friends from Gibbon stopped by at 4 and visisted about 1/2 hour. They were on their way to the race track.
