TUESDAY 3/10/09

I wondered last nite how it would all work out. Well, it didn't. I turned Lorraine 5 times in a half hour. She even called the nite Aide and said she wanted to turn on her side and she was already on her side. She then told the Aide she wanted to set up in her chair. She told her they didn't have instructions to set her in the chair at night and left. About 15 minutes prior to that, against my better judgement, I gave her a valium, another sleeping pill and a Tylenol PM. I just had to do something to calm her down. It did the job and she finally went to sleep and slept until 1:30. I turned her and she went back to sleep until 5. If this keeps up I am not sure what I will do. She went from a pain in her hip to pain in her knee to pain in her foot to pain in her back all in a half hour. I still think most of it is phantom pain that she thinks she has and is not even rational.
