THURSDAY 9/03/09

After suffering with the pain last night I decided I had to do something before 9/14. I called Dr. Nordquist Office and asked if I could start my radiation there and finish at Methodist. They said that was impossible because the radiation machines might be set different and the dosage might be wrong. I asked if they could get me started if I did all of the treatments there and she said can you be here by 10;30 (9:15 now) and I said yes. I met with Dr HSU. He explained what they needed to do to get started. The took me for another CTScan and marked where to point the radiation. Then the Care Coordinator came in and told me some more. They were unsure about the chemo. Of course since it is Labor Day weekend, they won't start treatments until next Tuesday. I go at 12:30 that day and then for the rest of the treatments the only spot they had in the afternoon was 2:45. They said it would take at least 2 weeks of treatments before I could expect any pain relief.
