TUESDAY 9/08/09

Theey brought Lorraine's dinner up at 11;30 so I could help her eat. I left at 12 for the Cancer Center. Had my first Radiation which was a piece of cake. Then I went for the Gemzar Chemo which only takes an hour and it will be on Tuesday and Friday only. The actual chemo only takes 15 minutes but they gave me anti nuasea med also. I got back at 5 and we went for supper. Dale just got home and he came and sat with us for supper. During supper I got nauseated and cold sweat. Shortly after we got back to the room I started to feel better and feel normal now. Evidently I had a little reaction to something. The Doc gave me Fentanyl patches for pain. I dropped off the script and Dale picked it up. I put on a new patch every 3 days and he said after 24 hours I should get by with only 2 to 4 Oxycodone. Hope it works. Dale is coming tomorrow to take me to get the radiation.
