THURSDAY 4/23/09

Lorraine got up at 9 this morning. So she had grapefruit and a Danish. After lunch she got her hair cut and set. She was tired so laid on the bed. The boss of the aides came up to put her in her sling. We are still arguing about their Hoyer sling and our Easy Way. Of course she put the Hoyer sling under her. I could see what was going to happen before she started to lift her and sure enough, the sling slipped up her back and there she was all crunched up. She let her down and I told her we just had to use our sling. We did and it worked perfect. She never said a word but the proof was in the pudding. She said to call her to help when Lorraine wanted to get up so some of those that want to play by the rules wouldn't come. I went to HyVee for water and pop and Walgreens for meds. The gal from Home Health care came by and adjusted her catheter. It was leaking by a little at times. Hope this helps.
