SUNDAY 10/05/08

Sunday morning so Lorraine slept in untill Eleven.  She lost another back tooth which just rotted off.  Good thing it wasn't one that held her bridge.  We voted with our absentee ballots today, even though it seems like it won't make any difference.  We are feeling the cost of the 700 Billion Bail Out.  You now have to pay the postage to mail your absentee ballot while before it was always "Postage Paid".  Mary Ann, the other inmate who had MS moved out today.  She had a power wheel chair and demanded lots of attention.  She moved back to Omaha where she originally lived.  That makes 9 vacant cells now.  Enjoyed our visit with Jim via phone this evening.  He has to be in Denver at 10 tomorrow morning for meetings.

  1. Hi!  Quite a weekend around here.  The Harbor Festival Event was held for Saturday and Sunday down on the Embarcadero by the Bay.  Ton's of people come from the Valley to cool off and enjoy a really fun day.  They have a contest for BEST Clam Chowder and an Oster (all you can eat) contest.  Lot's of resturants have food to taste and wine to drink.  We have 53 winers just in this area alone.  About 40 some venders bring their wares for display and to sell of course.  Even a fabulous Chess game.  All the players dress up like the people or whatever you call them in the movies who play Chess.

I worked both days from 10: a.m. - 5:p.m.  Really was pooped when I got home yesterday.  (Volunteer work for the Rotary and the Garden Club)

Did Jim take this new job or position he was thinking about with Wells Fargo or did he stay with the position in Aspen?

Take care you guys,  Love you both, Liz
