THURSDAY 10/02/08

Hair day today and wouldn't you know Lorraine got up late and the gal came down and wanted her to come at 10:45 instead of 11.  Had to do a hurry up but Lorraine didn't want to go without her customary Combing.  We were only a little late.  Joe and Sarah "duked" it out tonight.  I stayed up until 10:30 listening to the debate and also the commentary.  Most of the Commentators thouught Joe did a better job, especially on Foreign affairs.  One of them said if Sarah don't make it with McCain, she will return in 2012 as Presidential Candidate.  That will be interesting with she and Hillary running.  I probably won't be around to see.  We ordered our absentee ballots to vote this time.  I had a big discussion with Director here at Bickford about some of the things they charge Lorraine for that they don't do, such as reminding her 3 times a day to go for meals.  Lorraine only eats their meals once a day anyway.  She wanted me to sign the contract and I told her I would sign it under protest.  I asked for a copy and she said they could not give out any information from her file.  I told her I just signed a contract and I was entitled to receive a copy of any contract I sign.  I warned her if she could not provide a copy, I would not sign next year.  What can they do?  Kick us out?  I don't think they want to give up $72,000.00 a year with 8 rooms enpty now.

  1. Is this the same director you had before that gave you a bad time?  the one that lives next door to Carl and Cherie?  She must feel pretty confident about her position I'd say.  Maybe you need to take it a step further...not that I have any suggestions.  I always thought that contracts were legal and binding.  Therefore I would only sign under protest as well.

I watched the debate as well.  According to what I learned after from some of the commentators was that Joe doesn't know his political policies very well.  Several things he mentioned were not true about past history remarks from different senators including McCain.  Sarah did fabulous 85% to Biden's 12%.  Oh, Well!  time will tell and I firmly believe that it doesn't matter who get's in these next four years, they will not have time to pull us out of this mess.  We can only take one day at a time I guess.  (I will have to admit that at first I thought Obama was the man, now after hearing him repeat his prestigious voculary over and over (the same thing) I know now he is definitely not for me.)  Pink Hugs, Liz
