MONDAY 6/01/09

Dale came over at 11:30 and ate dinner with us. We went to the Med Center for the appointment with Dr. Zabad, the MS specialist. She gave Lorraine a good test for reflex, memory, eyes, etc. She asked lots of questions. She took her off of Namenda as she said that did not help memory loss from MS. Also took her off of Palvix that stops clotting of the arteries and left her on 81MG aspirn. She changed the anit-depressant from night to morning. She did blood work and will let us know the results of that. She also said there was no meds that would help with the numbness in her feet and hands. I presume from her language, that will remain the same but probably get worse. She made an appointment for Wednesday the 10th of June for an MRI of the brain and neck. We were very pleased with her. She is Muslim so she should get along well in the U.S. with our new President. She likes it in Omaha and said the winter was like summer compared to Canada. She is not dressed like a doctor as she was wearing a dress and no hose. She did not wear the turban.
