SATURDAY 1/31/09

Good! We finally got rid of January! The old Lorraine came back to live with us today. She got up at 9 this morning, ate 3 good meals, rested about an hour while I went to the store to replenish the Healthy Choice, and even read a little this afternoon. Seems nice to be able to visit with her again. Lots of excitement here at the Detention Center. They started off this morning with a craft show with outside vendors. It ran from 8 to 11. Poor Vendors, half of the inmates didn't know what was going on and the other half are on Medicaid so don't have any money to spend. I did not even check out their wares from jewelry to candles, even Mary Kay. We also have 3 ghosts living here. Namely, a Dessie Luce, a Violet Mundt and an Allan Frederickson. They have their names on the room but no one has ever seen them or heard of them and the girls say they require no care, so they must be ghosts. We all know it is a sales ploy so when prospects come in to look around it don't show that 30% of the rooms are vacant. We also had Chili - cornbread casserole for supper. Anybody ever heard of that before? Chili and cornbread would have been fine, but this stuff????????
