TUESDAY 1/6/09

Same song, fifth verse. Lorraine went down for her colonoscopy at 9:15 this morning. She was back to the room at 10.45. The doc said he couldn't get any farther than the re-section Lorraine had when she had cancer. He said his baby scope was at the Surgery Center as well as the balloon thing. So, he had to give up without finishing. Dr Cronk came back from Ord and came up at 4 this afternoon and said when he did the procedure in July he had no trouble getting through with the regular scope. Sooo, he said they want do do another one with her cleaned out. We will start in the morning with the Go-litely and she will have it on Thursday. You can imagine how upset she is. De Froehling came up tonight and said it was the thing to do as it is possible the narrowing has caused a blockage and the feces are liquifing to get around it. Who knows!! To top it all off Medicare wanted her out of the hospital by midnight tonight.
