THURSDAY 1/15/09

They dismissed Lorraine at 2:30 this afternoon. We are finally back in G.I. and Lorraine is asleep in her own bed. In the past 6 weeks she has spent 18 days in hospital beds. She got quite nauseated on the way home but we made it. It was 15 below in Omaha this morning and only 3 when we left. 15 when we got back here. She is on a no sweets and no milk Diet. Hopefully that will take care of her problem. The doc said she could take up to 8 Imodium AD in 24 hours if needed. She has to take 60 MG of potassium each day. It seems so good to be home for both of us. Dale helped us get the car warmed up and Lorraine situated with her legs elevated for the trip. This was the first time we have ever left a hospital without a nurse or LPN going with you to the car.
